Star South Procurement Internship
Star South Fruits is offering a Procurement Internship position to a recent graduate who has a keen interest of building a career in the fresh fruit industry.

How does the learnership work?
- The programme will run for 12 months
You will be based within the procurement division and be exposed to various tasks to ensure a well-rounded experience - This programme is for graduates who have completed a relevant degree and require work experience
What are the candidate requirements?
- Relevant degree in Marketing/
- Agriculture/ Trading
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Reliable transport
- Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Resilient and able to work under pressure
- Committed and hardworking
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-disciplined
- Problem solver
What are the basic duties?
- Coordinate and manage procurement of fruit
- Administration related to farmers and product procured
- Quality control of products
- Physical stock takes in cold-rooms and matching thereof on system
- Coordinate and manage packaging materials
- Build strong and professional relationships with farmers
- Assist the Commercial and Procurement team as requested
