Junior Accountant (Star South International)

We are seeking a diligent individual with strong attention to detail to join our finance team in Ridderkerk, Netherlands. The ideal candidate must hold a relevant financial degree and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to gain valuable experience in international markets. Star South will support the successful candidate with relocation and settling‑in costs for moving to the Netherlands.

Requirements

  • Relevant financial degree
  • Knowledge of cost accounting is essential
  • Related experience will be an advantage
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

Job Description

  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Capture invoices and credit notes
  • Process general journals
  • Manage data processing, capturing and reporting
  • Debtors/creditors control, invoicing and reconciliations
  • Prepare weekly and monthly payments
  • Assist with audits
  • Perform interest calculations
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly cash flow planning
  • Handle VAT submissions
  • Filing and general administrative tasks

Remuneration

Market-related, depending on experience and qualifications.
