  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the fruit industry
  • Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office
  • Able to travel frequently, both locally and internationally
  • Fluent in English

Beneficial Experience & Knowledge

  • Tertiary qualification in logistics, finance or marketing
  • Marketing and/or sales experience
  • Product knowledge of grapes and citrus
  • Experience in business development of procurement and sales
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships
  • Costing proficiency
  • Familiarity with industry trends
  • Microsoft Business Central experience
  • Proficiency in European languages advantageous; preferably Dutch and Spanish
  • Proven relationships with clients and suppliers

Job Description

  • Manage current and new business relationships effectively
  • Conduct marketing, programme management and co-ordination of product flow
  • Maintain and grow sales in assigned markets
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business
  • Analyse sales and finance reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximise growth
  • Ensure profitable sales

Danél is passionate about figs and has been dedicated to the export of almost 70% of the South African fig offering for the past seven years.
