Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must hold a relevant financial degree, have strong skills in cost accounting and international finance, and be able to deliver accurate, timely financial information to support business decisions.

Requirements 

  • Relevant Financial Degree
  • Completed articles at registered auditing firm or minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience
  • Experience in international trading environment will be beneficial
  • Computer skills and extensive experience in Excel
  • Cost accounting & standard cost principles essential
  • Forex handling experience beneficial

Job Description

  • Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and GL entries
  • Execute vendor and internal payments accurately and timeously
  • Monitor and reconcile bank transactions and account balances
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist with liquidity planning
  • Capturing and review related cost elements & adjustments
  • Weekly preparations and review of payments
  • Sending of payment remittances
  • Reporting on payment summaries
  • Managing ledgers for any deductions on payments
  • Reconciling and reporting on Balance sheet items, relating to control accounts on standard cost
  • Onboarding of new clients, vendors and/ or producers
  • Various reporting
  • Any other relevant accounting functions as required
