Position Location: Western Cape 

Please note that this position is based in the Western Cape, and you will be working from the Star South Fruits office in Wellington, Western Cape.

Qualifications

• BCompt. Degree or BTech Degree

Experience & Knowledge

• Completed articles at a registered auditing firm or a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Must have sufficient experience within the fresh fruit industry
• Computer skills and extensive experience in Excel
• Cost accounting and standard cost principles essential
• Forex handling

Job Description

• Manage full creditors process on producers:
  • Capturing and review of produce and related cost elements and related adjustments
  • Weekly preparation and review of payments to producers
  • Sending of payment remittances to producers
  • Reporting on producer payment summaries
  • Managing ledgers for any deductions on producer payments
• Cashflow management
• Monthly updating and monitoring of standard costs and related variances
• Invoicing of costs back to producers
• Management of balance sheet items, relating to control accounts on standard cost
• Various reporting
• Onboarding of new customers and producers
• Processing of commercial invoices and credit notes
• Preparation and review of weekly and monthly commercial creditor payments
• Any other relevant accounting functions as required
